The Ashby Boys Basketball Team defeated the Swanville Bulldogs 69-30 on Monday night.  Ashby outscored the Bulldogs 37-17 in the first half.

The Arrows had three players score in double figures.  Jacob Cook led all scorers with 17 points.  Torin Olson and Hunter Norby each contributed 11.  Carter Spangler added 9 points off the bench.  Also entering the scoring column for the Arrows were Matson Hoff with 5 points, Brodie Ecker and Evan Paulson added 4 each, Carson Spangler and Sam Sorenson had 3 apiece, and Sam Heeter finished with 2 points.

Cooper Thieschaefer was the only Swanville player to reach double figures netting 13.

“Brodie Ecker played an outstanding overall game in his first Varsity start,” stated Ashby Head Coach John Holsten.  “Carter Spangler was a star in the 6th man role.  Norby, Cook, and Heeter combined to hold Swanville's senior post player and 1000-point career scorer Nicholas Mettler to 8 points.”

It's the Arrows fourth straight victory and improves their overall record to 8-1.  Next up is a Little Eight Conference match-up with the Parkers Prairie Panthers at Parkers Prairie Thursday.
